Long ago there was a nightingale who was said to sing so beautifully that it gave life to anyone who heard its song. So entranced by its sound, an emperor commanded the bird to sing every day caged by his side. One day the bird was copied by a golden mechanical replica able to reproduce all of the nightingale's songs and sounds. The Emperor had grown tired of the real bird as it only sang sad songs since it had been kept in a cage for so long. The Emperor let it out of its cage never to be seen again. In time the mechanical bird no longer could mimic the sounds of the original and broke beyond repair. Without the song of the nightingale, the Emperor grew very ill and called out for its return. As the darkness came for the Emperor last day, the nightingale flew into the window singing songs of the many places it had seen and the Emperor sprung back to life again.
